Caitlin Clark 3-point streak ends after 1,225 days as Indiana Fever notch thrilling 81-76 win over Atlanta Dream.
Streak Snapped: Caitlin Clark Held Without a 3
Clark went 0-for-5 from beyond the arc. That ended a record streak of 140 straight games with at least one 3-pointer. The streak spanned her WNBA and college career at Iowa.
The last time Clark didn’t hit from deep was January 13, 2022, in a game against Purdue.
Despite the miss, Clark contributed 11 points and six assists. She also spent time on the bench in the third quarter with four fouls.
Natasha Howard Shines for Indiana Fever
Natasha Howard stepped up, scoring 26 points to lead the Fever. Her performance helped Indiana bounce back after a narrow 91-90 loss to the Dream earlier in the week.
Kelsey Mitchell nailed a crucial 3-pointer late in the game to give Indiana a 76-75 lead. Clark then assisted Aliyah Boston on a layup to seal the win.
Boston also dealt with foul trouble and finished with just two field goals.
Dream’s Rhyne Howard Leads All Scorers
Rhyne Howard led the Dream with 24 points in a sold-out State Farm Arena, which seats over 16,000 fans. The game was moved from the smaller Gateway Center Arena due to fan demand.
Despite the energy, Atlanta couldn’t close the deal.
Sophie Cunningham Returns
Sophie Cunningham made her season debut for the Indiana Fever, scoring nine points after sitting out with a right ankle sprain.
Head coach Stephanie White confirmed that Cunningham was fully cleared to play without any minute restrictions.
Injury Update: Dream’s Jordin Canada
