Djokovic Defies Age and Injury to Enter 14th Wimbledon Semifinal
Djokovic Wimbledon 2025 proves 38-year-old Novak Djokovic isn’t done yet as he powers into another semifinal. The Serbian legend reached his record 14th semi final at Wimbledon after a gritty 6-7(6), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 win over Italy’s Flavio Cobolli.
Despite a painful-looking fall late in the match, Djokovic powered through and secured the win on his third match point, displaying resilience and control.
“Let’s see how I feel in 24 to 48 hours,” Djokovic said, noting the fall could have after effects ahead of his semifinal clash.
Sinner Awaits: A Battle of Titans
Next up for Djokovic? World No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who made quick work of American Ben Shelton 7-6(2), 6-4, 6-4.
Despite an elbow scare earlier in the tournament, Sinner played clean tennis, dominating service points and showing no visible injury.
Djokovic leads their Wimbledon head-to-head 2-0, but Sinner has won their last four meetings overall, including in the French Open semifinals last month.
“It’s going to take the best of me to beat Jannik,” Djokovic admitted.
