Daredevil Born Again

Marvel fans just got another breadcrumb pointing toward the Young Avengers in the latest episode of Daredevil: Born Again. The Disney+ series seems to be expanding its universe, teasing the formation of a new superhero team.

Kamala Khan’s Surprise Mention

In Episode 5 of Daredevil Born Again, Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, visits a bank for a loan. The assistant manager, Yusuf Khan (Mohan Kapoor), casually name-drops his daughter, Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel). Yusuf mentions that Kamala is off in Los Angeles with her friends, though he doesn’t specify what she’s doing.

Marvel fans, however, might already have a clue.

Young Avengers or West Coast Avengers?

While it hasn’t been confirmed, this scene could be setting the stage for the Young Avengers or even the West Coast Avengers. In the comics, Kamala Khan isn’t a part of the West Coast team, but characters like Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) are.

Marvel has steadily introduced key members of the Young Avengers across the MCU, including:

  • Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
  • Kid Loki from Loki
  • Wiccan and Speed from WandaVision
  • Eli Bradley from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

With Kamala already seen recruiting Kate Bishop at the end of The Marvels, the MCU’s version of the Young Avengers may be well on its way.

What’s Next?

While Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed a Young Avengers project, the pieces are aligning. With the multiverse in play, it’s possible Kamala is gathering heroes for an upcoming crossover event.

For now, fans can catch more Easter eggs and surprises as new episodes of Daredevil: Born Again stream weekly on Disney+.
