From Underdog to Closer: Campbell Delivers in Crunch Time

Campbell’s 2025 season has been an all-or-nothing campaign. Aside from his two wins, he hasn’t cracked the top 30 in any other event. Yet, in pressure-packed playoffs, he’s two-for-two.

After a shaky double bogey on the 15th hole, Campbell bounced back with a birdie on 17 and narrowly missed another on 18 to post 18-under-par 266.

Grillo matched his score with a gritty round of his own but couldn’t recover after a poor approach shot in the playoff.

 Eyes on the British Open

With this win, Campbell could earn a spot in the 2025 British Open, depending on his updated world golf ranking. The victory pushes him higher on the leaderboard and puts him in elite company.

He now joins Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Sepp Straka, and Ryan Fox as multiple winners on the PGA Tour this season.
